I teach Geography and live in Texas. I got started on my family history journey in the 1990s and young children and work got in the way. I still work, but my kids are grown and I pick up the search when I can. I love cemeteries and researching. I can't wait until I retire and can really be involved. My earliest ancestor in the U.S. I can link to was a Quaker and arrived in the 1680s -- a Routledge from Scotland. My other branch came much later from Germany to Indianola in 1853.
