I feel that I am a temporary caretaker for the graves that I manage. I will happily transfer graves to those with a closer connection than I have. Many on here seem to horde their management of graves in order to have a large number. Most of the folks I've ran across on here are great. But some are very petty and also feel a sense of entitlement. Ignore them. Try not to let that ruin your experience on a great and meaningful site. For those volunteer pictures I take, it is my pleasure and no thanks is necessary.
RE: Kathryn Riordan I just had another thought: I've seen this before at other cemeteries, where they have a mortuary on site. Sometimes the family holds services there, and the bodies are cremated there but taken to be kept or scattered. In those cases, the record won't show a burial, but the decedent's death certificate points to the cemetery. We'll see!
