Bio

My name is Liana Shawver-Wiechnik. My Shawver Ancestry in the United States dates back to the arrival of Sebastian Fridrich Shawver Schauber who arrived in Philadelphia in 1753. He moved to Amherst County VA and built an extremely large empire of sorts. Upon his death his lands were split between his sons who went on to found the town of Shawver's Mill and homestead on Shawver Mountain. Their traces can still be found in in various towns throughout southern VA and into WV. As the family grew and split and headed for territories of their own most have now left the WA and WV area into Indiana, Alabama, Kansas, Wyoming, Texas, and beyond.

I have come back to Virginia as an Army wife and spend most of my time now researching family history here and trekking though woods to find family Cemeteries.
