I have been interested in my family's genealogy for about thirty years now. My goal is to trace all of my lines back across the Atlantic.

I love genealogy and I love to help others. I don't care about numbers but I feel really strongly that memorials should be looked after by family whenever possible, even if they're distant they're still family and will care more than strangers.

Please feel free to use any of the photos I have taken for your personal use. I try to make them the best I can. I carry grass clippers and a soft brush and rag so I can get a photo that shows all possible information without disturbing the stone. I also try to get the best light and even use my own shadow to make sure that the photo shows the best possible detail of the stone for their loved ones. My goal is to create clean, clear accurate memorials that will HONOR THE MEMORY of each individual. Please note that I occasionally find that I have taken gravestone photos for memorials that already have existing photos. If I feel that the photo I took is markedly better (i.e. the existing photo is: blurry, too far back to read the stone, taken from a poor angle, poorly lit, too small to see good detail, etc.) I will go ahead and add my photo. I mean no disrespect to the previous volunteer who's work was very gracious and very appreciated. I will also post a photo if the existing photo isn't available for you to freely use.

CORRECTIONS or ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please let me know if I have made a mistake or miss-typed any information on a memorial, or if you have any additional information that you feel I should add to a memorial. Click on the EDIT button on the top right of a memorial and let me know and I'll take care of it.

TRANSFERS: If I have added a memorial for one of your family members just let me know. Just click on the EDIT button on the top right of the memorial page to send me your request. Be sure to include your Find A Grave member number and name and I will transfer them to you.

How to create Bold text:
To create bold text in your Find A Grave memorials or on your home page you need to first type and next TYPE the letter b with no space and then type NEXT TYPE THE TEXT THAT YOU WANT IN BOLD PRINT and at the end of what is to be in bold TYPE no space then / then b then with no spaces in between them.

How to create Italics text:
You can also do the same thing with italics by switching out the b and replace with i (for italics) using the same procedure.

Or you can do both bold & italics by adding both the corresponding HTML codes one following the other with no space. Try it!

NOTE: If you are a Find A Grave member who maintains memorials and decide you no longer can or want to maintain the memorials under your care, please transfer the memorials you maintain over to someone who is an active member and is willing to take over the care of your memorials for you.

I am not looking to take on additional memorials (and I don't give a hoot about "number of memorials managed") but I am willing to take over the management of these memorials if you feel this describes you and you have no one else you feel you can give them to.

It is also a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers for you should something happen that would leave you unable to do the transfers yourself... and don't forget to give them your Find A Grave password or they won't be able to do this for you.
