Bio

I love history and genealogy. Several years ago, I acquired property which included a cemetery that dated back to the early 1800's. In my efforts to learn more about this cemetery, I utilized Find A Grave and other resources in my search and the results were that not only was I able to learn about those at rest there, but in the process, help some nice people locate the graves of their ancestors. Sometime later, I acquired property in another state in a community that included an undocumented cemetery and I began a research project of this site which resulted in the writing of a book titled "The Baxter Cemeteries of Rutherford County North Carolina." Archival family documents and information uncovered during the course of research for this book were integral in the development of a second book titled "A History of the Baxter Cemetery Camp Creek" written by another author. Both of these books have been published by the Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society of Asheville North Carolina. I continue in my work to research and learn as much as I can about the families in both cemeteries and to accurately and responsibly document their history.
