PICTURES, PLEASE USE AND SHARE AS YOU WISH. They are your family! I am not getting paid to take these. I do it for you as a volunteer.
How I feel about copyrights. Copyrights belong to the original photographer only (these will expire after a lenghth of time after their death). Copyrights are not to those that "own" a "copy" of the photo taken by the original photographer. Unless you of course have purchased that copyright, but good luck on finding who actually took the photo. So, the old photos you are posting on any site, you did not take them, they were purchased by your ancestor.
My grandma loved sharing info on family and pictures. I have many old letters dating back to the early 70's. They were written to her and from her sharing all kinds of information. She loved her genealogy! She was all about finding new cousins! I miss her ramblings on her ancestors!
I have been doing Genealogy for the last 20 plus years. I am a proud member of the DAR, 1812, American Colonist and Colonial Dames. I love to help people and don't take any money from them, only to pay for copies if needed.
I am very close to Forest Hills, Northlawn, St John's, St Peter's, Henry Warstler, Noth Canton Zion and Sunset Memorial Cemeteries here in Canton. Though I am limited too Stark County, I grew up in Brown Twp in Carroll County, Ohio and will take photo requests for that township.
RE: Durret @ Mt. Hope in Port Huron If you would like the plot card pulled & researched, you can make an appointment as a family member and call 810-985-5323. The gal works part-time & genealogy comes last priority at a cemetery office but worth the wait for details in the plot cards. I photographed the entire plot & posted the headstones.
Saint John's Cemetery Today was the first time ever in this cemetery,so pretty with the brick paved driveways, happened to take some pictures of some of your memorials there.Hope you don't mind,(if you would rather take your own,no problem, I can delete mine)...you are probably crazy busy working...Sharyn
RE: Karl & Evelyn Wey I was just given the grandparents of this gal today, and started looking. Three of the grandparents came here from Germany in the mid 1800's ----- so not finding any DAR links! I guess she didn't realize how much German she had in her!
