I have been doing genealogy for many years since I learned about the many resources available online. My mother was a first generation States born child but my husband's side was here before we became the States. I have a intense feeling that my husband and I are somehow related but have not been able to find that one thread to connect us. I have blue eyes as does my daughter, my mother, and my father in law, and a niece on his side, so I guess you can say we are related somehow since it is now a theory that all blue eyed people are descended from the same person. It is really fascinating that current relatives from different tree lines have lived in the same town but some even 100's of years apart. It is amazing how far back I can go on his side, 1700's at least but only a couple of generations on my side before I jump "across the pond" and lose the thread. I can be very nit picky about some things and have been known to notice things. I do let people know about duplicate pages or missing family members. I send out edits at least weekly and apologize for any hurt feelings but I send notices to both parties with the same message and do not play favorites.
