I am researching several families in Adair County, KY. Included but not limited to are: Dial, Nash, Burton, Harmon, Bryant, Hadley, Baker, Fox, Crawhorn, Janes, Coomer, Harvey, Estes, Corbin, Lee, Matney, Barnett, Thompson, Thornton, Hays, Sneed, Jones, Haselwood, Burress, and many others. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance in your research.

I am a little bit familiar with genetic testing for genealogy. YDNA is passed from father to son and to grandson, etc and mitochondrial DNA is passed from mom to each of her children regardless of gender. My kids have been tested and have joined surname research groups accordingly. I would be happy to share this information with the appropriate family members.

My interest in genealogy began when I was working on a Girl Scout badge many years ago. However, I didn't hit the ground running with it until my eldest son came home with a 5 Generation Chart in the 4th grade (1998-1999) as a homework assignment. Curiosity is what "killed the cat" and needless to say, it got the best of me, too. Ha! I will forever be indebted to Mrs. Wanda Beard for this passion.
