Bio and Links
I have been researching my family tree for over 27 years and have collected much information. When I started, there was no such thing as a personal computer or the internet! At the urging of family, I am now starting to get my research into the technological world for future generations!

I have tried to be very thorough in my research since my rule has always been to find two (preferably three) or more pieces of corroborating evidence before considering it fact.

Contact me by clicking the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then click the; ‘suggest a correction or provide additional information' link. Please provide the source of your information so I will be able to verify the accuracy before I make any changes. I will keep you informed.

This applies to linking parents and/or spouses to another memorial too. Please provide the source of your info, so I can verify the accuracy.

I only wish to manage memorials within my own family tree.

A special THANKS to all who have transferred my ancestors to me! You have no idea how much it means to me and my relatives to have our ancestors "returned" to family!! I will write bios on each and every ancestor that I manage. I have so much info on everyone I've researched. This will take time, so please be patient. Please contact me, if there is an urgency for the genealogical info.

You DO NOT have permission to use my photos before you have received my written permission. Use the Edit tab to ask. If I grant permission, I ask that you give me credit as the photographer.

All grave and cemetery photos added by me on this site were taken by me. If you see them elsewhere without my name attached to them, they were used without my permission. I would appreciate being informed.

RE: James M. Sheridan
Hello, cousin.
Della was one of the four orphaned daughters of James Sheridan. Another was my great aunt Rachel, whom I met as a child when she was in her 90's. I have a copy of a letter james Sheridan wrote to his wife while at war, just before he died. I will have to find it and send you a copy. Where did you get your information? I wish I had a picture of James Sheridan and his wife. Can you send me your e-mail address? That way, we won't have to log on at this site. Do you live in NC? I'm now in Charleston, SC.

Patricia, he was my great grandfather. One of his orphaned daughters, Martha Frances, was my grandmother. She married William Russell Ashworth of Asheboro, NC and bore him 10 children, the youngest of whom was my mother, Grace Ashworth Rose. I was so pleased to find this site. Thank you!

THANK YOU very much for allowing me to use the photo, Patricia. I have posted it on the memorial of my uncle and have given you credit for the photo. Thanks again!

Horn Family
My Grandmother was Mabel M Horn, daughter of Kimber Cleaver Horn, son of John Horn, son of Andrew Horn. My Grandmother insisted that she had heard that the family name was at one time LONGER, possibly Hornberger but definitely not Van Horn. Have you come across any evidence of this? Do you have your own tree at Ancestry for the Horn family? How are you related? Marilyn

I have made the necessary changes. "Find a Grave" has to agree to the removal of the old memorial, but I have sent the necessary information. I have already added the new memorial. Thanks so much for bringing this matter to my attention. I am in the process of correcting the burial information in my data bank.

Grave of Jacob Lute
Thank you so much for posting this picture! I'm working on a third volume of grave locations for veterans of the War of 1812 and would like your permission to use this picture in the book. I'll cite you as the source. Can you point me in the right direction for finding a source for his wife's maiden name? I haven't been able to find a source anywhere.

Thank you for any help!
