|Tommy Brown||Johnston Link|
Related to John Johnston of Fort Wayne fame? Or just by marriage? Curious about the links between the Johnstons and the Browns. Henry Brown of Dayton and his brother James. Your picture of Abraham Brown's grave in Tazewell County, I believe to be another one of their brothers.

Hi, I'm sorry but I won't be able to help you. I no longer live in Ark City so can't take photos there. I deleted all the thousands of photos I had taken there when I moved to KCMO. The cemetery (Riverview) is owned by the city of Ark City. They have a spreadsheet of the cemetery records somewhere on the city site but I no longer have the website address. The cemetery office is open with a clerk working from 9 to noon Monday through Friday and there are complete records of all burials indexed both my name and plot. You should be able to confirm any burial by contacting the office if the spread sheet doesn't answer your questions. Sorry I can not be of further help. Good luck! Linda

I'm sorry I don't have more info on this family. The info on his memorial was in his obituary, which had his name spelled Brautigan, that was published in the Morning Olympian on Tuesday, June 20, 1899.

Seen you question to Judy about transcription on tombstone of Wm H Speer, 24278322, Civil War Virtual Cemetery . . .
It is the Company and Regiment etc with which he served
Co A: Company A
2 ILL LA: 2nd Illinois, Light Artillery
Helps sort it out if you come upon duplicate names, Many states have books on the individual regiments, makes it easy to research him . . . -LARRY

You are welcome, glad I could help.
Henrietta was buried in a family plot as there are 5 other family members buried with her. If interested I will send you their names or I'll make memorial pages for them.
