Bio

I am a Northern California Native, born in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I currently live in Southern Arizona. On my father's side of the family, I am 3rd generation American/Californian. My Dad's father was Danish and Norwegian and dad's mother came from a long line of Italian-Swiss which I have so far traced as far back as the 1600s. All four of my dad's grandparents settled in Humboldt County California. On my mother's side, I am both 3rd and 4th generation American/Californian. My Mom's father's side of the family were Germans who immigrated from Odessa Russia to North Dakota then to Valley Home California where my Grandfather was born, and my mom's mother's family were Irish from Co. Wexford and Louth Ireland and had settled in San Francisco, CA. I have been working on my family tree for a several years now, but it is still a work in progress. I highly recommend taking the DNA test from Ancestry.com. The results can be both fascinating and surprising. Not to mention all the cousin matches one discovers. I am fascinated with genealogy and appreciate a person's desire to research and discover their family history and make that special connection with their ancestors. This website is a wonderful way to find where relatives who have passed are resting, and to pay respect via memorials to those graves one cannot visit in person. It is also a great resource for genealogy research. The memorials of people that I have created or manage are all related to me in one way or another or they may be a spouse of a relative. So if you find a relative/ancestor of yours on my list, chances are pretty good that you and I may also be related. ;-)
