Bio

Hi ~ My name is Leslie (Davidson) Harris and I'm a native Oregonian. My husband, Tommy, and I currently live near Mt Hood (East of Portland) in Sandy on 40 acres of forested land. Ancestry, genealogy and history in general have long been personal interests of mine, and we both really enjoy researching and learning together, as well as sharing what we discover about our families, history, perspectives and places that we encounter as a result.

My strongest intuitive knowing since a young child, is that our ancestors have a great influence upon us and it is important to honor and remember our own ancestors and all those that came before us. Occasionally, when it all comes together, we even have an opportunity to bring healing through the generations by way of understanding their lives and stories. We are continually striving to "remember" everyone in our family at least for 7 generations, but also much further back in many lines. My own immediate family lines of the last 3 generations are Witham/Yates/Strode/Lynn & Davidson/Waldorf/Hunt/Richardson and my husband's are Harris/Hubbell/?/Patrick & Tong/Petet/Hicks/Morandi.

Since we work as a team, we are happy to adventure out and take pictures or help with local research for anyone, any way or time that we are able, and are also willing to share whatever we can to assist others with their own research and "remembering". We have quite a bit of research done on most all of our lines on Ancestry.com – and those going farther back, so there are many more surnames that are connected in our respective families. If you think we may have any information to share and help each other with, please let me know.

You can reach me at [email protected] or leave a public message on here.

Thank you all for your contributions as well!

Blessings upon you and all those you love
~ Leslie

Ancestors

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
Would you be proud of them?
Or don't you really know?

Strange discoveries are often made,
In climbing the family tree.
Sometimes one is found in line
Who shocks the progeny.

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
Perhaps there might be one or two
You wouldn't care to know.

Now turn the question right about
And take another view.
When you shall meet your ancestors
Will they be proud of you?
