Bio

Father (Dutch): Timmer, Goossen, Harkema, Kik, Nauta, Proos, Soet, Thomasma (roots in Emmen, Drenthe, Netherlands).

Mother (Norwegian): Danielson, Solum. Moe, Olson, Bjaaland, Haugen, Jorgenson, Knudsdatter (roots in Gjerpen, Telemark, Norway).

I enjoy leisurely walks and photography, so taking pictures for myself and for others is a pleasure. FindAGrave was created as a resource for people researching "their families" and as a virtual cemetery for "loved ones" to visit. If you fall into either of those categories, the pictures I take belong to you and your family.

Memorials I've Added: While some are my own ancestors, many were created because I saw their grave markers in the cemetery and photographed them, but found no memorials for them here. Others were created as a result of routine research (a child leads to two parents, who lead to four grandparents, etc.). If they are your ancestors and loved ones, PLEASE request a transfer - they belong to you. If they're not, but you know anything more about them, PLEASE share/correct/edit/add anything you believe would enhance or complete those memorials as accurate and permanent records.

Garfield Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids:

My interest in Garfield Park Cemetery recently led another wonderful contributor here to pass along her memorials there to my care. Creating a memorial isn't hard, but researching them (which I enjoy doing) takes time, and I'm happy to share the load, so to speak.

Being a "Contributor" means giving, and I hope I can always "give" as much as I've received here.
