In some cases I've had to create memorials for photos I have taken. If they are your loved one, let me know and I'll be happy to transfer them to you. Please provide your member number and memorial name and number.|

|Chris Finch||RE: Jean C. Hedges|
Hi, Christina. Jean was married to and divorced from Robert Thompson Browning. I do not have marriage license & divorce documents, which would be best. Her Social Security All Claims Index record shows she changed her surname on record in 1949 to Browning, so marriage was on or before then; it was not changed from Browning ever. Public Record Index entries at Ancestry show Jean used the surname Browning in 1986 & later, so I cannot use this as an indirect way to date the divorce. And, of course, it is engraved on the gravestone.
The obituary posted at Find A Grave indicates three daughters; two were still Brownings as of the obituary date. All three of these daughters' first names are engraved on the back side of Robert Thompson Browning's gravestone, see that at Find A Grave 132974822.
So, I think there is enough indirect info to link Jean with this particular Browning, although I would prefer direct documentation; searched Ancestry and some other sources but not located yet...except at high cost for original document websites, which I did not buy. If you have contrary info please let me know; I prefer to have my memorial pages and family tree correct. Jean is in my tree because we are both descendants of Nicolas Strausbaugh & Catherine Gerard, the 1736 immigrants to Philadephia that started the big Strausbaugh family. If I can help with other questions, feel free to ask. Chris Finch

My records have Hobson dying on 21 Apr 1899. Strange isn't it?
I will delete my memorial in favor of yours. Just to let you know, this memorial had not been linked to his parents as of today.
Thanks for letting me know the update. I appreciate the help.

Thanks so much Christina, for adding the photo of his memorial. When I see these on our Find A Grave memorials, it feels like we are walking around in a local cemetery.
|Shelley McMinn Anderson||edits of plot locations at L. Point|
We are updating changes to the sections, plots, row numbers at Laurel Point so at this time you will see a decline to add those to the memorials you sent for edits. Once we have all the updates in place, we will add the correct section, plot and row numbers to the memorials. In the spring we are going to be walking the cemetery, photographing headstones and updating those section changes - if you'd like to help, we'd welcome it.
Thanks, Shelley McMinn Anderson, Laurel Point Board
I was working on Guseman's this morning and put on Pearl E Guseman, Daughter of J E & L M, 5 months, 20 days - 155373816. The stone does read dod as 11/26/1899 (not 11/18/1899) as you have it. Please move your photo to 155373816 and delete 155371377. Sorry for the confusion.
FYI Dorothy Hennen completed a survey of Laurel Point in 1975 and it's still sold by Cornerstone Genealogy.
We have descriptions of many stones (not photos) from 40 years ago. This baby was definitely buried with Isaac. What is so great is that Mrs. Hennen has an alphabetical index in the back and the stones are recorded as they passed them. We also have the advantage of several old funeral home records which we have scanned and are using to put memorials on even if a stone was never installed. I can scan things and send them to you if I had your email. If you go to my message board you will find my email.
We really appreciate all your help. It's sad to see so many stones that aren't legible.

My, but you have been busy, Christina. You got J Calvin and his wife's photos also.
John/Josiah Calvin's parents were Jacob Richey and Elizabeth Baker. I have not been able to locate their graves. Jacob did die in Greene County, so he might have been buried at Laurel Point. If you could keep a look out for him and Elizabeth, I would be appreciative.
Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving,

Thank you, Christina, for adding their photos to the memorials and for that of William Darrah. Unfortunately, we don't know where William's wife was buried.
I hope you were able to get the photos during one of our warmer days.

|Carole Gideon||Recording Buial Locations|
We really can't help you with the locations right now. We just sectioned it off and we are hitting the ground in the spring. We are trying to get as much as we can on Find A Grave and also our excel file before we start. We will be listing Section, Lot Number and Space Number hopefully. We don't know why but when Mr. McCann was assigning Lot Numbers he at times swung back and forth over the road from Section 1 to Section 3. It's going to be hard to figure it out but we eventually will. Mainly because of the actual stones.
