Bio

I was born in Chicago where my maternal ancestors have lived since 1872, when my 2nd great grandfather started his wagon making company. My father's mother's side of the family has lived in America since the early 1600s. My Kaufmann ancestors arrived in America in 1858. I have ancestors who fought in every major war since the Revolutionary War. I've been doing genealogy research in my family since my mother died in 2012. With the help of my many distant cousins I've been able to piece together much of my family tree (on Ancestry.com) and find the final resting place for many relatives.I am particularly interested in my Duncan ancestors in Tennessee who fought in the Civil War on both sides. Albert Duncan and his wife I believe were murdered in their early '20s. I do occasionally post graves of famous Chicagoans who are unrelated to me. I'm vigilant on posting the grave location with GPS or section number, along with a brief bio, enabling others to find them. So, if you are a descendant please let me know and I will transfer ownership to you.
