I am a novice genealogist as I am putting my family tree together. Most of the information I have learned has been research within the last several years after becoming in possession of old family burial documents. I've always been interested in American History which is probably the driving force in learning as much as I can about my past. I retired from the fire service after 35 years of dedicated service and currently an active substitute teacher. Being a substitute, my genealogy research helps pass the time.
