This site is very special to me. I was looking for my biological father for about 40 years. I had sent in my DNA sample on another site, and while awaiting the results, I found this site. The only information I had about my father was his name, date of birth, and where he lived. I entered only his name and the location into the search page. There was only one result that came up, and to my splendid surprise, it had his birthday. I took the information from this site, and was able to contact a cousin. He agreed to do a DNA test also, and I was able to confirm that this was indeed my father. Since then, I have been in contact with many of relatives. I truly appreciate this site, and use it often for my genealogy of both sides of my family.

I was born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area. My relatives pioneered this area, many of them from Germany, England, and Ireland. I am very proud of them for their courage in journeying so far. I plan to keep up the journey, and make sure they are remembered as well as I can.
