Hello and welcome. I'm from Etowah County, AL where much of my father's family has lived since the early/mid 1800s. Most of my maternal family is from Lincoln County, TN and Bibb and Pickens Counties, AL. Prior to the mid 1800s, my family was in western North Carolina, NE Georgia, and Tennessee.

I have been researching my family history for many years. My family names include Watson (or Watts), Algee, Purcell, McGehee, Cooper, Rogers, Hansberger, Curry, Crump, Smith, Lewis, Reese, Tyner/Tiner, Eslick, Tucker, Owens and many others.

Besides genealogy, I manage the Burritt Folk School. I also enjoy reading/writing, photography, kayaking, biking, and growing things.
