Bio

I am willing to take photos at cemeteries in Emmet, Dickinson, Clay, Palo Alto, and possibly Kossuth or Winnebago counties in Iowa and some locations in so. Minnesota. The farther away it is from Estherville and Spirit Lake, Iowa, the more likely it is it will wait until I'm covering a news story or sports in one of those areas. If it's just outside these areas, still ask. You never know. Also, I'm from Sioux City, Iowa, and would take a photo there, but again, I only get there every few months if that.

I am here to claim my parents', grandparents', and great-grandparents' entries, if they are not already claimed by equal or closer relatives (e.g. my grandparents' graves by one of my first cousins). I also have some childless great-and great-great aunts and uncles I'd be interested in updating. I've noted some incorrect information on some of them, and it's disconcerting.

Surnames include Ainsworth, Hillgren, Sanborn, Pearson, Ginter, McKinney, Jackson, Mattson, Vaughn, Ashurst, Burton, Fowler, Hatcher, Machias, Neale, Saunders, Brokesby, Hatton, Westby, Willogughby, deFraville, deToeni, Botetourte, delaPlanche, etc.

Thank you for your cooperation. If I have any information you need, I'm glad to provide it. I'm active on Ancestry.com, and am DAR eligible through an ancestor named Flournoy. I trace my line back to Admiral Christopher Newporte's landing in Jamestown, and pretty far back in England.

I'm very interested in learning more about my Swedish heritage -- Hillgren/Mattson. I have a book of photos from Day County, South Dakota and Stanley, North Dakota of graves of Swedish-Americans from 1916 and earlier.
