Bio

Despite the annoying advertising, I love the ability to preserve the existence and appearance of grave markers on this site.

I'm primarily interested in the graveyards of my ancestors in North Hampton, NH, Elizabeth, NJ, and several cities in PA. When I travel to those locations I try to visit the cemeteries, photograph the grave markers of my ancestors and relatives, and photograph as many other markers in the cemetery as time permits. I'd like to maintain ownership of my ancestor's memorials but certainly do not have a sense of propriety over most. If you're related, just ask and I'll gladly transfer memorial ownership. Similarly, if you take a better photo please post it and let me know so I can delete mine.

I include Latitude/Longitude information in each photo, but please note that a) this is the location of the smartphone, not the marker and b) smartphone GPS is apparently only accurate, on average, to about 8 meters (http://communityhealthmaps.nlm.nih.gov/2014/07/07/how-accurate-is-the-gps-on-my-smart-phone-part-2/). This means the marker should be somewhere within a circle with a radius of 8 meters (~26 feet) of the recorded Latitude/Longitude.

Special thanks to all who've already created memorials for my people, added photos that were missing, corrected errors in my memorials, or altered their memorials to accept changes I've suggested.
