Location and Availability
I'm located approximately 25 miles from Chattanooga, TN and am available for volunteer photographs or obit/newspaper research most weekends except for November and December.

Memorials with plot locations in well marked/planned cemeteries will receive highest priority when randomly fulfilling photo requests. PM me if you have a priority request.

About Me:
I got into Find A Grave for a couple reasons:
A: I was trying to find the year when my grandmother passed so I could fill out a form & I couldn't find where my father had uploaded his genealogy research.

B: I'm a Geocacher (www.geocaching.com, same handle as here) and occasionally stumble on old unregistered family graveyards. Sometimes, these need a CITO (Cache In Trash Out), but geocaching.com can't let me put a marker in their system due to a stupid typo in Tennessee state law that prohibits "games or amusement" instead of "games of amusement" within 100 yards of a cemetery.

I do my best to attribute the newspaper where obits are published, but due to the ToS, I will not be copy-pasting complete obits into my memorials except under rare circumstances. As time permits, I will retype a paraphrased version of the obit. If you have a friend or family member who's obit still needs to be retyped, I'm happy to transfer the memorial to you on request.

The licenses below permit you to upload my photographs into Ancestry.com as long as you credit me as the source. It takes effort to reliably photograph, map, and transcribe this data.
