Bio

I am the son of Charles Albert Withers and Minnie Bell Huffman. I have three brothers, John, Alan, and Alvin. My paternal grand parents are Tilman Withers, and Maudie Isom. My maternal grandparents are Cliff Huffman and Etta Brooks. I am a novice at genealogy, but find it fascinating. My interests lie with Isom, Case, Basinger, Carothers, Huggins and Thornton. I was born in Bakersfield Ca. during WWII, we were living in a labor camp called Weed Patch Camp the same that was written about in the book "Grapes Of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. I spent 22 years in the Air Force including a tour in Vietnam. I've traveled around the globe as Flight Engineer crewmember on HH-43 helicopters and the C-141 cargo jet and the C-5 Galaxy. After retirement from the military I went to work for Intel Corp manufacturing semi-conductor chips, retired after 18 years with them. I now reside in California and work on genealogy.
