I have been researching the family history of the Stirewalts, Caspers and Collins on and off for the past 40 years.

I am doing bios and links on all Stirewalts & Stierwalts in the USA.

We are all related through our two Grandfathers Johannes (John) and Peter Stigerwaldt. The two brothers arrived in Philadelphia from Germany on 9/26/1749. In 1773 they made their way to Rowan County, North Carolina, changing their name to Stirewalt. Between 1806 & 1820 most of Peter's clan left for the free land in Indiana. Staying for a while in Kentucky and later changing their name to Stierwalt.

I live in Mount Pleasant,NC and will be glad to share any information I have on our family.
