I started on my family tree in 6th grade (1972) when I wrote a report about my ancestors who settled in Minnesota, and have been fascinated with genealogy ever since. During college, I spent my spring breaks and summer months visiting cemeteries, courthouses and genealogy libraries while my contemporaries were no doubt up to other things.
