My father was from Waelder, Tx , my mother from Gonzales, Tx, and I always knew that I would retire in the area. I found this site and decided to help with the local cemeteries. Once they are finished my wife, Sandra, and I hope to help with other cemeteries. Since we have taken so many headstone pictures, we decided to choose our own. The picture to the left is the back side of our stone. My gr gr grandfather settled near Waelder in 1881 and in 2008 my father and I applied for The Heritage Farm Recognition from the State of Texas. It is given to families who have lived on the family farm and and have kept the farm as a working farm for more than 100 years. We have realized how a site like this can help one find their ancestors.
