Really interested in my family history--maybe because we have so little family. My father was the only child of an only child so I have two Henderson memorials. I spend a lot of time at work so my "work" with Find a Grave is sporadic. I will work on information and contribute diligently for several days and then, I won't be back for a month. Be patient communicating with me, please!

I believe that hiding behind anonymity on Find a Grave is wrong. Transparency about information and its source makes for veracity. If I have a memorial for someone that you are related to and I am not related, I will gladly transfer management. If we are both related, I will consider degrees of relationship, but I will probably transfer it. (Don't ask for my mother though! I had to really go to bat to have hers transferred to me from one of those number hoarders!)

You will see that I have contributed many more pictures than I have created memorials. I enjoy walking the cemetery enjoying the peace and remembering those who rest there. The beauty of the different stones--especially the creative ones from the past--are wonderful. The new app makes it possible to walk the cemetery and immediately see who has memorials and those who do or don't have pictures. I can add pictures to memorials or add memorials with pictures right there on the spot. I am not going to be the person who reads obituaries and creates memorials just to see how many I can get in my tally. I realize some contributors are elderly and can no longer go out to take pictures. To me the picture of the grave is the purpose of what we are trying to do. Locate the grave and provide the proof it's there.
