I have been doing family research for over 20 years and have found this website very helpful in my research. I also firmly believe in "paying it forward". I've had met many helpful people in my research and am willing to pass on any knowledge, assistance, and/or guidance to anyone that's interested. I currently live in the Chestnut Hill, Tennessee area and married to a "Local" who is very knowledgeable about this area. Sometimes it does require me sitting on him or threatening him to get answers from him, but I am more than willing to try. Luckily I have his other family members that put up with my annoying questions regarding the history and people of the area.
My family names include Daugherty, Graybeal, Campbell, Lewis, Mayberry, Osborn(e) from the Ashe County, North Carolina area as well as Mathis/Mathews, Nixon, McSwain, Peugh, Watson from Cleburne & Randolph, Alabama and Central/Southern Georgia. My husband's families include Ottinger, Hill, Hance families from the Chestnut Hill and East Tennessee areas. A lot of my research and extended family trees can be accessed on Ancestry.com.
