Bio

For over 50 years I've spent much time each summer on Lime Lake in Machias, New York. From our cottage on the small bay I can see the monument on the Cattaraugus County Alms House Burial Grounds. I've always thought how sad that the individuals buried there were identified with no first name, only an initial. When I discovered that someone had created Find A Grave memorials for 34 of the 123 people interred there, I decided to do the same for the others. A first name, death date and place are now known for most of them.

I've also been adding cemetery records and photos collected over more than 40 years of genealogical research. This is one way I can reciprocate for the information others have shared.
