I've always been interested in history, and the people who lived before us. As a youngster I was privileged to live in England, where I visited castles, cottages, churches, and trekked through the cemeteries. I was intrigued by the messages and names on the stones and markers. Inside the churches were many effigies that caught my attention. We did rubbings of some of the brasses, with the vicars' permission.

It was not until much later that I began thinking about my own ancestors, and wondering about their lives. What were their names, where did they live, and what were their jobs? When did they come to this part of the world? Finding those answers and finding out what I could about their lives became my hobby, and sometimes obsession! I do enjoy the research, and love that Find A Grave came into being to preserve what we are able to see today, for those that may be interested now, and for future generations.
