Bio

I grew up in Roseville, Michigan. My parents bought the house in Roseville when I was about 18 months old. They lived in the house on Brohl Street for more than 50 years.

I attended kindergarten and first grade at Pierce Public School and then transferred to Sacred Heart School on the corner of Utica and Gratiot. I graduated in 1967.

I got my Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Michigan, graduating in 1971. I got my Master's degree in Planetary Science from Caltech in 1974, and completed my EMBA from the Peter F Drucker Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University in 1995.

I married my husband in 1972. We have lived in California, Illinois and back to California.

As far as genealogy goes, I am a "Roots Baby". Since then, I have become the family archivist for both sides of the family. My family has French Canadian, Irish and Eastern European roots. My husband's family has German and English roots. I have families from my in-laws that span German, English, Scots-Irish, English Canadian and Channel Island roots.

I am a five time past president of The Southern California Genealogical Society. I am an active member of the French Canadian Heritage Society of California. The SCGS Library holds one of the largest collections of French Canadian research material outside of Quebec.

In my spare time, I build Rose Parade floats for the La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association where I am a two time Past president. The biggest kick of my Tournament of Roses career was driving 2012 float, "if pigs could fly".
