Bio

Thanks for visiting my bio page.

You're probably visiting to see where I stand on transfers. My take is this:

FAG lists GUIDLINES for transfers. But they are just that....guidlines. Not rules. Anyone can make a transfer IF they want to.

I thank all the contributors who understand this. I thank them for realizing that the request for transfer is sometimes because they actually care about this person in a personal way. Thank you for approving my requests and those of others.

Unfortunately, I also know the disappointment to be denied an ancestral transfer request by someone unrelated to the memorial. We know the stories, we have the photos, we have the connection, we have the info, but yet are denied the request.

Because of this, I will transfer memorials of which I am not related, to family members of the memorial, regardless of where they fall in the family tree. On occasion, I will also transfer these memorials to friends of the person memorialized. This is what's best for the memorial.

Please remember this when someone asks YOU for a transfer.

As far as my personal family memorials are concerned, I will only transfer if you are a closer descendant than myself or my family.

I also take volunteer photos. I am very comfortable in the cemeteries. I take great care to photograph in the most respectful and caring way that I can. Like you, my ancestors have been scattered all over the place and I can't be everywhere at once. Having a photo really helps.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
