Bio

I've been into genealogy since elementary school when we had to do our family tree. It wasn't until college however that I started researching beyond what other family members had already done.

I was also helped along majorly with my now ex-wife's genealogy in that her sister is Mormon.

Most of my ancestors came from the Netherlands and Germany and settled in Michigan.

I started with the memorial pages of my direct ancestors or friends who were close enough to be like family. Many of the memorials I manage were managed by others who themselves have since also passed away.

I also enter obituary info from the local newspapers in an effort to help far away relatives make virtual visits to their loved one's graves.

Please use the standard edit submission form as much as possible. Sending me someone's birthplace via "other correction" when you went right past where it could have been done just wastes my time.

If your submission would change a date or spelling that's already in place, place provide a source for the change. If I request a source, do not respond in a hostile manner as I will report you to Find A Grave administration.

Please include a source if you submit text from an obituary. I do not support plagiarism.

If I have a memorial page for one of your family members/friends, I am more than willing to transfer it to you if you ask, even outside of guidelines.

Due to a few users who insisted on trying to bully me, I have had to disable my message wall. This is a hobby that I enjoy, and I will not allow anyone to add stress or aggravation to something I enjoy.
