I've always loved cemeteries. They are such serene, beautiful places---I feel the same kind of peace in a cemetery as when I'm in church. I hope to pass on this appreciation to my daughter. When she was younger and not as busy as she is now, we would take a blanket and a nice lunch and enjoy a picnic near an interesting headstone. I don't want anyone to think of cemeteries as scary places. They're not. They are parks full of wonderful people who were once very much alive, doing the same kinds of things we are all doing, and now they rest and dream...
