Why this hobby? Two reasons; (1) Natalie is looking for her birth family and (2) Tim is finishing a family genealogy begun by his late mother.
Natalie and her identical twin were born in Vietnam circa 1971. In 1974, they were taken to Children's Hospital in Saigon by their mother to treat their severe malnutrition. Both children survived but were put into an orphanage on September 2, 1974. Then came the fall of Saigon and Operation Baby Lift in April of 1975. Both girls arrived in Seattle, Washington on April 6, 1975 and were adopted by the Crapuchettes family of Altadena, California. Natalie has found a 3rd Cousin using targeted DNA testing but after that the trail runs cold.
Tim was born in Hollywood, California. His genealogy interests and research include the Day family of Joppa, MD; the Dougherty family of Stampers Creek, IN; the Greene familiy of Green Tree (Lost Creek), TN; the Vest family of Brown, TN; and the Conant family of Windham, OH among others.
