I am new to genealogy and have just discovered Find A Grave.I've always been fascinated with old cemeteries...which sounds a little creepy. But I love to walk through them and imagine what the lives were like for the people buried there. Those aren't just headstones and monuments...they're people. Some died young. Some were old. They all have a story and need not be forgotten.I have lived in Hooks, Texas pretty much all my life. It is a small town where you know everyone, and they know you. We all look after each other and family roots run deep.I'm excited about seeing the photos of the graves of my (and my husband's) family members. Given the geographic location of some, this is the only way we would be able to see them. I'm also looking forward to fulfilling some of the requests already on the site and helping others find their family members.
