I am a retired middle school teacher and have been interested in genealogy for over 30 years. I have a special interest in the now defunct Mount Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA, where over 200 of my relatives are buried.

I am happy to transfer most memorials that I currently manage, as long as they are not blood relations of mine, whether the transfer follows Find A Grave guidelines or not. Please note the two Virtual Cemeteries that I have of those memorials that I am "willing to transfer" (in-laws of mine) or "happy to transfer" (not related to me in any way).

(Special note: I am the historian of the former staff members of the School District of Cheltenham Township in Pennsylvania. Requests for transfers of those memorials will have to follow Find A Grave guidelines, as I have a personal connection to those people. Note my Virtual Cemetery for those Cheltenham SD staff members.)

You're welcome to copy my pictures of headstones. I'd appreciate a note letting me know that you have done so. About 20% of my photos are of relatives' headstones and I'd like to know if we're related.

A little more about me: almost all of my immigrant ancestors immigrated to the Philadelphia area from the British Isles (mostly Scotland) in the 1800's and stayed in the south Philly area for their entire lives. Many of my relatives are buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery in southwest Philadelphia, so I have a special attachment to that decades-neglected and now closed cemetery. I very much appreciate the tireless efforts of the Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery, who work to preserve, maintain, and restore that cemetery.
