I started working in Genealogy in 2005 when my daughter came home from school with an assignment to find an immigrant in her family tree. From that point on, I was hooked! My main focus is of course my own family tree, but that has expanded with a deep interest in the pioneers of the community in which I grew up.

In 2009, I was asked to help with a project for an old cemetery in our county. My contribution to the project included photographing the headstones and putting together a book to memorialize the people interred there.
In 2015, I was asked to load the pictures of the headstones for that cemetery onto Findagrave. That is where my interest in Findagrave started.
As I was loading the photos, there were many that did not have memorials yet. So, the genealogist in me had to include them.

I am not related to any of the people in the Old Star City Cemetery and hopefully our research has provided accurate information. Please don't hesitate to provide a correction, but please include your source information also.
