Bio

My full name is Deborah Carol Morrison.
I carry the maiden name of Donley.
I have also carried the last name of Ooten from my first husband.
Right now I am enjoying doing research on my mother's maiden name Osgood.
I was born at Riverside Hospital in Columbus Ohio to my parents, Ronald and Carolyn Donley in 1961.
I don't remember much about that day, so I have to go on faith that everyone is telling it like it was!
I was an only child with blonde hair and blue eyes.
My parents raised me in Grove City Ohio which was a wonderful small town to grow up at in the 1960s and 1970s.
I graduated from Grove City High School on Hoover Road, home of the "Greyhounds", 1979.
I met my first husband, Michael Ooten, in high school and we were married on December 14, 1980.
I became the mother of four children named Diana, Danielle, Michael and Dione.
Even though Michael and I got divorced in 2003, we have four beautiful children and that is something I would never want to change. I have been blessed.
Unfortunately I was widowed by my second dear husband Mark Alan Morrison on September 19, 2007.
Again...I was blessed by having him in my life if only for a short time.
Life is but a fleeting breath to be treasured and nurtured and handled with tender loving care.
In my family history research, I have come to want more than just names and dates.
I have a hunger to know my past generations life stories. It is those stories that make up who they were.
I have therefore dedicated myself to writing the life stories of those closest to me who are still alive so that their true essence will not be lost in the future.
I have had the pleasure of interviewing my maternal grandmother before she passed away and learned so many interesting wonderful things from her about her life and times. Those living today have enjoyed knowing her in this way and I know those that follow will find her story fascinating as well.
The one person we all tend to leave out of our family history is unfortunately the one person we know the most about. That is ourselves!
I encourage everyone to begin a life history of themselves to pass down to future generations.
Not one of us should ever be forgotten, but should remain cherished and remembered always.
The world is a better place because of YOU.
