Bio

Currently a graduate student at Alaska Pacific University studying family history and genealogical research. I am working on three Find A Grave Projects. Project #1 is researching the 46 known burials in the Sundance Little Volga Cemetery in Alberta, Canada, and trying to fully identify each of those individuals. A history of the cemetery is a future research project. Project #2 is photographing and updating the 483 burials in Hickerson Memorial Cemetery in Homer, Alaska. Project #3 is photographing and updating the 82 burials in the Homer Community Cemetery in Homer, Alaska.

I began my family history research in 1985 and have recently started working on genealogical conundrums for friends. Additionally, I am working through the American Home Study Course from the National Genealogical Society. My goal is to complete, by year's end 2016, the Master's Degree program at APU, and simultaneously receive credentialing from the Board for Certification of Genealogists.

My research interests run with the nationalities of my grandparents. My paternal grandparents were Canadians whose families immigrated from the British Isles. My maternal grandfather's family immigrated from Norway and my maternal grandmother's ancestors were early colonial arrivals in America primarily from the British Isles and the Netherlands.

I welcome communication from visitors to the Find A Grave memorials I have begun and would appreciate any additional information, documentation AND especially corrections of fact.
