All my family comes from Texas. I am half Czech and half Scottish/English by way of Kentucky and IL ancestors. Spindletop seems to have lured this half of my family to Texas. The Czechs came straight from Serfdom in Czech lands to South Texas freedom where they built strong prosperous farms and communities.
