Bio

I am the great niece of Charles William Braysher. Who was killed at the battle of Somme the afternoon of 10/10/1916 at Bacon Trench, near Gueldegurt. In the 29th div.

In August 2014 I visited the area and memorial of which my great uncle fought and died.

I have purchased a ceramic poppy from the Tower of London of which I will remember him by.

My next search will be for his younger brother William W Braysher who fought in the Royal Navy WW1 from age 14 stayed in the Navy until his ship The Mosquito gunship was blown up on 1st June 1940 in WW2.
