I love taking pictures of anything but I find a special joy in photographing memorials of any kind. I have often wanted to have a way to feel a special connection with my ancestors or friends that have passed and I find that just seeing the place where they rest can bring me a bit of peace. I also love a good adventure and sometimes locating a memorial can be just that! I enjoy going through the older parts of cemeteries and snapping pictures of grave stones that are falling apart. I feel like preserving them and what can still be read on them is so very important for those who come after us. For the most part I create and work on memorials for people in my family tree but When out taking photos if I run across other graves that have not been cataloged I will create a basic memorial. If you find that I have a member of your family in my managed memorials that you would like to manage yourself, just ask! I would be happy to transfer them to you! If you don't want to manage the memorial but have corrections or other information you would like added just let me know and I will get them taken care of. I would like each memorial to be as nice as possible for family members. For anyone posting photos on memorials I have created, please try to get the best possible shot so that the information in the photograph can be easily seen without shadows or sunspots in the way. I know this can be tough sometimes as I have found myself in a cemetery and the lighting is just right to be wrong. If you can not get an unobstructed view please accurately transcribe the information when posting the photo. Thanks to all for your help and happy hunting!
