Bio

Hi,

My name is Judy. I live in Lincoln, RI. I am a new photo volunteer at Find A Grave. I think this is a really cool site, and I hope to become more familiar with it as time goes on. I came to this website as a result of some historical/genealogical research I am currently conducting. I will gladly welcome any suggestions and help in regard to fulfilling requests and going out and photographing the gravestones. This is all new to me. For now I prefer to stick to a close (In Rhode Island terms, haha) geographical range of cemeteries in my area.

I really enjoy "poking around" (as I call it) cemeteries and looking at the beautiful carvings, engravings and sculptures. I find it very fascinating to look at the names and the dates of the deceased to see how long they lived, and what words might have been said about them, etc. History is great! I get so upset when I see careless destruction and vandalism of the headstones.

I do a lot of environmental volunteering in the Blackstone River Watershed and serve on several boards. I also enjoy anything having to do with nature, i.e. rocks, birds, trees, flowers, fish, frogs, clouds, mushrooms, fossils, insects, butterflies, etc. and I LOVE to play Texas Hold Em poker.
