Bio

Today I was reading another ladies bio, I decided to change mine and tell you a little more about myself. I originally started my genealogy search through a friend Cherry Jones who used to be from Medina and has family here and now she lives in Alpine. She has the research skills.
I mainly wanted to find out about my grandfather Johan Classen who was from Germany and settled in the area of Rockville, Mn. Then of course one thing leads to another now my Paternal father who I never knew, Joseph Howard Gaddy who served on the USS Nevada during the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Invasion of Normandy, Okinawa, and IWO Jima, so much history there and wanted to see what made him do the things he did. Maybe shell shock. Wouldn't you think?
Then yesterday I was talking to a cousin Bev, so now I will probably working on my adoptive Father's family and his name is J.W. Virdell from the Brady area. It takes a lot of time. But I do enjoy and think it is important to find your families history. It will probably shed a light on a lot of things.
