I grew up knowing most of family on my Mother's side (CHIASSON) in southern Louisiana. My Father's side, (HALBACH) from Iowa, was a different story. His family was spread out throughout the country so didn't have much contact with them. I guess that was what got me started in Genealogy. I had one Aunt that kept some of the information on close family. She was the one that really got me started. I am learning something new every day and having fun doing it. Other hobbies that I have on hold at the present time are Ham Radio, Hunting, Fishing, and Metal Detecting. I am retired ATT Digital Tech with 26 years service and am now trying to enjoy my retirement with my family.
