I was born in the panhandle of Texas, grew up near Wichita, Kansas, and now live in Missouri. My mother often took her children to cemeteries where family members were buried to manicure/clean the gravestones and place flowers so I have always been a cemetery person. I visit the graves to honor the memory of the lives of my loved ones and all who have gone before me and to remind myself that my earthly life is short and I need to always strive to make the most of my life and love others while I have the chance. Cemeteries are "resurrection ground", sacred places in my view, where those who have gone before us await the return of Jesus Christ.
