Bio

I have always enjoyed history, working on puzzles, and doing genealogy.

I think my fascination with cemeteries began as a small child. I can remember going to the Akron, Colorado Cemetery with my grandfather where he helped to maintain the grounds. Over the years my husband and I have visited many cemeteries with almost always the same questions in mind...where did this person come from, why did they settle here, what did they do for a living, why did their children die so young.

Find A Grave has helped us find several puzzle pieces of our family history. Being able to find our ancestors in their final resting places (many far away), "see" their gravestones, getting small bits of information, and finding unexpected links to other ancestors, has been an invaluable tool.

I hope that it helps your family, too.
