Bio

After nearly two years as a member, I no longer qualify as "new" to find-a-grave, so, I thought I would update my profile. My official research for the past twenty years has been primarily in the south (i.e. Al., Ms., La., Fla., Ga., N.C, Va., Tx.) Lately, however, it has branched out to further reaches of the U.S.
Most of the memorials I have posted here are not related to me; They are souls who were forgotten or overlooked somehow in the transcription of cemeteries. If you have info to add, or, if you would like to assume management of a particular memorial, please notify me. Not all individuals have direct descendants to assume the management of their memorial, so, I have never denied a transfer for that reason.
I ask that requests for edits be concise and preferably accompanied with a note of source. PLEASE DO NOT make requests for edits that have no merit or for which you have no documentation. Frivolous requests for edits will be denied or ignored.
PLEASE, if you know a maiden name or date, PLEASE submit them. If you know the parents of an individual, PLEASE request links be made, or, if not possible, a notation in the bio can be useful.
I would like to thank and credit several people here who deserve MUCH in the way of thanks from me. Bennie White, who has for many years dedicated himself to preserving the past and paving a way to the future and who has given more of himself than could have ever been expected. Frances Gandy-Walsh, & Carolyn Pettit, my genie buddies who were relentless in working with me to connect the dots in Wayne Co., Ms. To Michael Conovah Bunch, my cousin, who provided nearly all of the photographs of cemeteries in Wayne Co., Ms. that I have added.
To my husband, who has, from day one, supported and encouraged me in what began as curiosity and grew into a passion.
And, last, but certainly most of all, my mother, Barbara; there's never been a more tenacious and thorough researcher. I am so blessed to have her as a mother, a friend, and a partner. Without her, it would all be meaningless. I love you, Mom!
