Bio

I am a professional South African genealogist with over 30 years of experience and I was the official genealogy researcher on the popular T.V. series in the South African version of "Who do you think you are?" Watch a trailer from one of the Episodes. I am now an independent professional genealogical researcher and my website is http://www.ancestors.co.za.

In the 1990's I was the founder of the Cape Town Family History Society as well as two Rootsweb Mailing Lists. I also assisted Professor Robert Shell in putting together his mammoth database of Changing Hands.

I spent the day helping excavate human remains from the Prestwich Street Cemetery in Green Point in 2004.

I was the business manager of the Naspers / Media24 website www.ancestry24.co.za for 9 years until it was sold in 2013 to Ancestry.com where those records are now held and many headstone images were also donated to https://www.graves-at-eggsa.org/main.php?g2_itemId=43 by me.

I have worked on several international celebrity family trees including the likes of Hugh Grant who has South African Family Roots.
I am a cemetery freak and have over 1000 000 grave images to upload here from graves around South Africa.

Help is always welcome.
