I started with Ancestry in 2009 when I got my first tablet as I was able to go right into the cemeteries, take a picture and upload it and all gravestone info immediately :) I was most interested in my Mother's family from Germany and So Illinois (Schoembs)....Imagine my surprise when I discovered my Father's Family originated right in Nashville, TN where I am currently living :) I had visited many Lewis graves in Nashville and joked they were my ancestors...well they really are! :) I am now hooked on discovering my family's past and have travelled all over TN, KY and IL exploring graveyards and digging up archives. Not only am I learning a lot, but I am having fun seeing all of these interesting places!
